Just Published: New IP Special on Open Science

IP and Open Science

Open Science, as an approach to scientific processes focused on quick and transparent knowledge and data sharing, has long been a policy priority of the European Commission and has been widely promoted. Making results and data generated in research and innovation projects accessible to all societal actors, including other researchers, innovators, and the public, enables them to find and reuse this information according to their specific needs. This approach encourages further research, facilitates the discovery of novel solutions, and supports the addressing of complex challenges.

The European IP Helpdesk team has recently released a new IP Special edition, which contains a collection of valuable materials focusing on crucial aspects of Intellectual Property (IP) and Open Science. Covering a Bulletin, infographic and a training session, this Special provides insights into the important viewpoints on Open Science practices while spotlighting related intellectual property issues and questions.
