European IP Helpdesk - CONSORTIUM
The European IP Helpdesk provides free-of-charge first-line support on IP-related issues aiming to help current and potential beneficiaries of EU-funded projects (in particular Horizon Europe), as well as European small and medium enterprises and public research institutions to manage their Intellectual Property assets.
The European IP Helpdesk is managed by the European Commission’s European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), with policy guidance provided by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD).
The European Research and Project Office GmbH - Eurice offers support for successful participation in European framework programmes for research and innovation: from the initial project idea followed by strategic planning and successful implementation of the project to the exploitation of research results. Eurice was founded in 2000 and is among the largest European consulting companies for international scientific projects. As a highly innovative SME, Eurice regularly occupies a leading position in the corresponding rankings.
The Eurice team of experts consisting of 40 consultants has been involved in the implementation of more than 250 European cooperations in research and technology covering all major areas of research.
Established as a key partner in European initiatives aimed at better protecting and commercialising research results, the Eurice European IP Helpdesk team is committed to the implementation of communication and awareness-raising activities and to the provision of extensive training services in the areas of IP management and capacity building.
The University of Alicante (UA) with its wide network of contacts, active cooperation agreements, projects with key actors such as European Patent Office (EPO), European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and involvement in relevant IP Networks like European Intellectual Property Institutes Network (EIPIN), has a long track record in terms of successful IP Helpdesks coordination and management.
UA is founder and leader of key initiatives in the field of IPR on European and international level including the European IP Helpdesk and IPeuropAware projects from 2002 to 2011, or the MERCOSUR IPR SME Helpdesk from 2013 to 2015 and of the Latin America IP SME Helpdesk from 2015 to present.
With its extensive (and multilingual) pool of in-house IP experts, UA will ensure the provision of high-quality and user-friendly first-line advice to the users.
With high expertise also in terms of IT service provision, UA is in charge of providing and supporting the necessary IT infrastructure for the management and operation of the European IP Helpdesk.
