The European IP Helpdesk is a service funded by the European Commission (under contract EASME/H2020/2018/008) and managed by the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME). It provides free-of-charge, first-line advice and information on Intellectual Property (IP).

Established as a key partner in European initiatives aimed at better protecting and commercialising research results, the Eurice European IPR Helpdesk team is committed to the implementation of communication and awareness-raising activities and to the provision of extensive training services in the areas of IP management and capacity building.

University of Alicante

The University of Alicante (UA) with its wide network of contacts, active cooperation agreements, projects with key actors such as EPO, EUIPO, WIPO, EEN and involvement in relevant IP Networks like EIPIN, has a long track record in terms of successful IP Helpdesks coordination and management. 

UA is founder and leader of key initiatives in the field of IPR on European and international level including the European IPR Helpdesk and IPeuropAware projects from 2002 to 2011, or the MERCOSUR IPR SME Helpdesk from 2013 to 2015 and of the Latin America IPR SME Helpdesk from 2015 to present. 

With its extensive (and multilingual) pool of in-house IP experts, UA will ensure the provision of high-quality and user-friendly first-line advice to the users. 

With high expertise also in terms of IT service provision, UA will be in charge of providing and supporting the necessary IT infrastructure for the management and operation of the Helpdesk.
