Understanding the Innovation Ecosystem in Europe: European IP Landscape The Learning Tool is a series of training videos created by ENRICH in LAC with five different modules, ranging from business and innovation ecosystems in Europe and Latin America, R&I tools for financing projects in Latin America and Europe, cooperation and internationalization practices and procedures, to the services ENRICH in LAC offers to members. Cesar Fernandez is the speaker for this lesson “Understanding the Innovation Ecosystem in Europe: European IP Landscape”. Cesar has more than 10 years of experience in intellectual property, having obtained a Master´s degree of Industrial Law and Intellectual Property. Currently our speaker works as an IP Expert in the University of Alicante. This lesson focuses on local particularities in Latin America to consider, especially the duration of protection, the obligation of use and the second use patents, also the recent developments on the unitary patent, industrial designs and geographical indications.
