2. Programme Synopsis:
The IP KEY SEA project in collaboration with the South-East Asia IP SME Helpdesk are organizing a ‘Webinar on Trade Secrets’. The aim of this webinar is to improve awareness among IP authorities and public and private stakeholders on trade secrets and promote the need to improve their protection following EU best practices. This webinar will focus on the importance of trade secrets as a form of intellectual property right, protection of trade secrets in the EU, and protection of trade secrets in the SEA countries. An EU Expert from the EUIPO will present the EU system and best practices, and then the Expert from the South-East Asia IP SME will give an overview of protection of trade secrets in Southeast Asia. There will be a Q&A at the end of the presentations.
