Description
The crux of the webinar will be on border protection measures. Trade mark owners in Kenya may rely on Customs as well as the Anti-Counterfeit Authority (ACA) to prevent counterfeit goods from entering the local market. The new compulsory recordal of the intellectual property rights of imported goods with the ACA will also be discussed.
The recordal of IPR will allow the ACA to act proactively against counterfeit imports. The powers of the ACA to act inland will also be touched upon. Finally, entrepreneurs will learn how to act against counterfeit goods destined to Kenya transiting through Europe.
