Updates in the Intellectual Property (IP) landscape of Myanmar since January 2024: What businesses should know (EuroCham Myanmar)

1. Event Description:

On Thursday, 23rd January, the South-East Asia IP SME Helpdesk and EuroCham Myanmar are organising a collaborative event titled “Updates in the Intellectual Property (IP) Landscape of Myanmar Since January 2024: What Businesses Should Know”.

This session will feature Ms. Yuwadee Thean-ngarm, External Expert of South-East Asia IP SME Helpdesk & Partner and Director of Tilleke & Gibbins Myanmar Ltd. together with Mr. Thet Zaw Htwe, Head of Policy and Strategy of EuroCham Myanmar, who will share their perspectives on the topic. During the webinar, the speakers will discuss how the protection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) enables businesses to secure and protect their intangible assets. This strategy also enhances consumer confidence, generates new sources of revenue, and stimulates economic growth.

This session aims to equip European businesses with insights and practical tips to navigate Myanmar’s evolving IPR regulations, including the key “dos” and “don’ts.” The interactive session is free of charge for members of EuroCham Myanmar, and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions to a local IP expert.

The webinar will be conducted under the Chatham House Rule, which is off the record and open exclusively to members of EuroCham Myanmar.

The event will be conducted as a Zoom webinar, hosted via EuroCham Myanmar’s Zoom account.
