Latin America IP Helpdesk, in collaboration with the Camara do Comercio do Centro, present a workshop on the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights with the aim of providing valuable insights and practical strategies for individuals and companies interested in safeguarding their intellectual creations.
Among the topics covered:
- Introduction to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR): definition and categories of IPR (patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets); importance of IPR in the current context.
- Registration and Documentation Process: practical steps for registering patents and trademarks; the importance of proper documentation in IPR protection; tips for keeping records up to date.
- Protection Strategies: proactive approaches to avoid infringement; market surveillance and monitoring possible infringements.
- Practical Applications: Case Studies:
- Real-life examples of how IPR protection has positively impacted companies and creators; lessons learnt from infringement cases and how they could have been avoided.
