Description
The corona pandemic has hit India's economy hard. Production bottlenecks, disrupted supply chains, increased transportation costs and travel restrictions have confronted companies with massive challenges. In the meantime, recovery is emerging; the IMF forecasts a catching-up economic growth of over 10% for the current year.
Under the slogan "Self-Reliant India", the Indian government is focusing on fewer imports, more industrial production and its own domestic market. What does this mean for German companies and their Indian business partners? What opportunities and risks arise in this context?
At the Hamburg India Business Day, high-ranking representatives from business, science and politics will discuss the implications of the new economic policy
On such occasion, the India IP SME Helpdesk will be present during the opening panel to raise awareness about the importance of intellectual property, which is becoming more and more relevant for German SMEs wishing to do business with/in India.
The conference will mark the official opening of the India Week Hamburg, an bi-annual event set to take place from November 8 to 14, 2021. Registration is free of charge.
