Description
Africa has a vast unexploited energy potential representing an invaluable asset for the continent’s economy. Renewable energy sources, and natural resources, can provide opportunities for economic growth and sustainable development, particularly in French-speaking countries.
This 5-hour hybrid event, taking place simultaneously in Maribor (Slovenia), Douala (Cameroon) and online, will feature a presentation of the current landscape and future prospects of renewable energy in Africa, with a focus on Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire and Togo. In addition, it will highlight the same landscape in Slovenia and showcase business opportunities in the field of renewable energy sources. An IP expert will speak about the importance of intellectual property rights within the renewable energy sector in specific African countries. A presentation of the Africa IP SME Helpdesk services will also be featured. Lastly, presential participants in Slovenia and Cameroon will be able to network and participate in matchmaking sessions.
