Description
Over the last few years China’s IPR regime has changed by leaps and bounds. This includes the creation of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) unifying the administration of patents and trademarks, as well as several amendments to IP laws, including the amended Patent Law and revisions to the Copyright Law, which came into force on the 1st of June 2021. Unfortunately, IP is still often discarded by SMEs, despite it being of crucial importance when entering complicated third markets such as China. This panel will discuss recent legislative changes in China and their implications for EU businesses and will discuss best practices with regards to prevention and enforcement of IP infringements.
The China IP SME Helpdesk is honored to take part in the IP panel with our Team Leader, Simon Cheetham as well as one of our IP Experts Jörg-Michael Scheil. We are also grateful to have one of the SMEs that has successfully used our services to recount their experiences with the China IP SME Helpdesk. The entire programme for the panel can be found below.
