The World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) has announced the 2023 finalists for its annual Global Awards programme, with 25 candidates qualifying for the final phase of the competition that recognises excellence in the implementation of intellectual property (IP) for successful outcomes at across the globe.
The WIPO Global Awards, this year for the second time, recognise small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from around the world that are successfully commercialising their invention and creativity with the use of IP in a unique way that benefits society.
The 25 finalists are selected out of 548 submissions from 58 countries representing all regions of the world and a wide range of industries, including creative industries, food, green energy technologies, health, and others.
The WIPO Global Award 2023 winners will be announced publicly at a live webcast awards ceremony on 11 July, carried out at the WIPO Assemblies, where winners will present their accomplishments.
