The Vietnamese government has just released another draft amendment of its 2005 Law on Intellectual Property (IP Law) following the recent signing of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), the world’s largest trading bloc. The 2005 IP Law was last amended in 2009 (after Vietnam had become a member of WTO in 2007) and in 2019 (after Vietnam signed big trade pacts, such as the European Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, ie. EVFTA and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, ie. CPTPP)).
