The Venezuelan Autonomous Service of Intellectual Property (SAPI) has presented its action plan on the Marrakesh Treaty.
The Marrakesh VIP Treaty entered into force in Venezuela on January 2, 2020, after its accession in 2019.
The WIPO-administered Marrakesh Treaty makes the production and international transfer of specially-adapted books for people with blindness or visual impairments easier. It does this by establishing a set of limitations and exceptions to traditional copyright law.
The SAPI will expressly present the limitations and exceptions of the treaty in the reform agenda of the Law on Copyright in the National Assembly during the first quarter of 2021.
Would you like to know how they are planning to implement it?
