The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has just published a creative economy note on the streaming wars currently going on in the Brazilian market.
In Brazil streaming services like Amazon Prime Video, Netflix or Claro Video are fighting for new subscribers (let's not forget about the new streaming service "Disney+" too), that is why WIPO has carried out a reasearch to check whether exclusive content in Brazil is increasing piracy, whether it means less financing for individual movies and what this means for policy.
Is exclusive content negatively affecting consumer behaviors? Does the current competition model affect the industry’s investment in quality content?
If you want to find out, please refer to WIPO's website.
