Singapore: More descriptions accepted for addition into IPOS' classification database for suggested goods and services

The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) is piloting an avenue for interested parties to provide suggestions for descriptions of goods and services to be added into its classification database ("Database"). Interested parties may make submissions via the IPOS form, from 1 September 2023 to 30 June 2024. In May 2024, the IPOS published a further report on the descriptions that have been accepted and added to the Database, providing brand owners with a good indication of what may be accepted.
