SIC Colombia and EPO sign Cooperation Agreement

The EPO and the Colombian Superintendency of Industry and Commerce (SIC) have signed an Enhanced Cooperation Agreement to achieve advanced collaboration that will strengthen the work of the SIC in the field of patents, by taking advantage of the search results in the state of the art and the examinations carried out by the EPO.

The Cooperation will have a duration of 5 years and will contribute to the quality and efficiency of the patentability studies carried out by the SIC.

The EPO establishes bilateral co-operation partnerships with non-member states of the EPC (technical co-operation, reinforced co-operation and validation), in order to make the global patent system more efficient and better suited to user needs.

Would you like to know more about this close cooperation between the EPO and SIC?
