In recent months SENADI has issued several resolutions which have radically changed the criteria of Article 167 the Decision 486 of the Andean Community:
"Use of the mark may be proved with business invoices, accounting documents or audit certificates that show the regularity and scale of marketing of the merchandise identified by the mark, among other things".
In accordance with the new requirement, "any invoice issued in a country that is not part of the Andean Community must be accompanied by evidence that the product entered the country and, in some cases – according to the resolution – even that it is offered in the local market".
