The Registro Nacional of Costa Rica is now aligned with EUIPO's CP6

Thanks to the joint efforts of both IP Key Latin America and the EUIPO, the Registro Nacional in Costa Rica is now aligned with the EUIPO's Communication (CP6) — Convergence on graphic representations of designs.

Tailor-made to the specificities of Costa Rica, the Practice Paper provides an overview of the Registro Nacional’s quality standards for design applications received by electronic means and by paper. The Practice Paper provides a clear and comprehensive explanation of the principles on which the practice of the RN and the IP offices of the European Union Intellectual Property Network (EUIPN) is based, particularly on how to use appropriate disclaimers, types of views, and how to represent designs on a neutral background.
