Out Now: New Fact Sheet on Alternative Dispute Resolution

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is a key factor to secure the value of technologies and associated intellectual property (IP) rights developed in research and development (R&D) collaborations and their commercialisation. ADR mechanisms include several procedures that enable parties to settle their domestic or cross-border commercial disputes.

Joining forces with the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) Arbitration and Mediation Centre, the European IP Helpdesk team has published a new fact sheet on ADR that provides an overview of WIPO’s ADR mechanisms, principles, advantages and case examples to assist small and medium enterprises (SMEs), universities, research centres, researchers and others in making a considered choice on how to resolve future or existing disputes when drafting contract clauses and submission agreements.

New fact sheet is available on our website where you can also find the previous editions that provide in-depth information on different IPRs, IP legislations and applications in specific fields of research and business.
