New Collaboration: EPO and ASTP Signed Memorandum of Understanding

European Patent Office (EPO) and Association of European Science and Technology Transfer Professionals (ASTP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). With this agreement, it is expected to have a general structure that will guide the two organisations' collaborative activities.

The agreement underscores the EPO and ASTP's common belief in the critical role that knowledge and technology transfer, as well as intellectual property (IP) commercialisation, play in boosting innovation across Europe and beyond.

The MoU, which takes effect for an initial three-year period, states that the two organisations will exchange experience and promote technology transfer outreach efforts jointly. To improve the skills of both technology transfer professionals and staff members in the EPO's PATLB network, common education and training activities will be organised.
