New Area on the EPO Website for Non-Experts: "Are You New to Patents?"

news

The European Patent Office (EPO) has introduced a completely new section on epo.org as part of the recent website redesign. This fresh content is specifically tailored for individuals who are not familiar with the patent system, such as entrepreneurs, start-ups, inventors without legal representation, students, and similar audiences. The content has been developed in collaboration with various experts within the EPO who have experience in engaging with these specific target groups.

Prior to submitting a patent application, it's important to consider a variety of questions, and there is a wealth of freely available information to explore. This section offers helpful tips and recommends additional resources for seeking guidance and advice.

Take a look at the new section: https://www.epo.org/en/new-to-patents

In addition to the newly added section, the EPO website also features an existing area (epo.org/sme) that provides a wide range of educational materials, including case studies, training materials, handbooks, and more. This area is specifically designed for business decision-makers and intellectual property (IP) managers to boost their understanding of business-aligned IP strategies.

The existing content as well as the new ones are continuously promoted on the High-growth technology business community LinkedIn page. https://www.linkedin.com/company/htbcommunity
