Launch of new IP support in India: The IP mascot, "IP Buddy"

On January 5 2022, the Telangana Government presented IP Buddy.

IP Buddy will support a number of stakeholders in addressing Intellectual property related queries, in particular questions concerning existing IP services in India and questions concernng registration proceedings.

Working hand by hand with students, startups and SMEs, the new tool will provide a platform to consolidate the existing IP network, and aims to certify 10 000 IP Ambassadors by March 2023.

The "IP Mascot" was developped by multiple private and public operators in cooperation with the IT and Industries minister.

A promissing investment that will surely reinforce the knowledge and awareness of the multiple actors within the innovation ecosystem.
