The representatives of the Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) came together to discuss about extending the ongoing actions by enhancing the technical cooperation between the two institutions this year.
Based on a memorandum of understanding in force until 2025, the subjects mentioned within the scope of collaboration were holding workshops and quarterly technical exchanges, as well as involvement in events and training, in several fields such as patents, trade marks, Information technology (IT) management of intellectual property (IP) institutes. The Hague Agreement, Madrid Protocol, and other initiatives in diversity and equality were also part of the discussion.
