Indonesia is a diverse agricultural nation with a wealth of traditional knowledge and practices related to agrobiodiversity that are passed down through generations. Small family farms with an average land holding of 0.6 hectare make up 93 percent of its agricultural land. These smallholder farmers play an essential role in food production and food security.
