Indonesia: The Directorate General of Intellectual Property implements the automatic recordation approval system for copyrights

The Directorate General of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia (DGIP) issued Decision No. HKI-05.TI.03.02 of 2021 on Implementation of Automatic Approval in Copyright Recordation System ("POP-HC System") on 20 December 2021. The purpose of POP-HC System is to provide legal certainty and increase the confidence of copyright owners. In the first month of its implementation, the POP-HC System has increased the copyright recordal filings by almost 50% in January 2022 compared to the same month in 2021.
