India´s Government strives to promote a strong start-up and SME ecosystem

Karanataka, Minister for Electronics, Information Technology and Biotechnology (ESDM) recently announced the Government aims to be the main hub for a thriving start-up ecosystem.

At the 16th edition of the Indian Electronics & Semiconductor Association (IESA) Vision Summit he said; "The ESDM sector in the country which is predicted to reach USD 220 billion by 2025 has the potential to create 1,000 start-ups, 10,000 IPs (Intellectual Property rights)", showcasing how intellectual property protection will be at the center of the value creation of this technology based sector.

Additional synergies arise having mentioned that multiple sectors such as Agritech, Medical sector and Space&Defense, among others depend on the rise of the Indian Electronics industry.
