First-Ever WIPO Global Awards Winners Announced

In an awards ceremony celebrated last week, WIPO’s Director General handed trophies to SMEs coming from the Netherlands, Singapore, China and Japan. These SMEs, innovating in a variety of sectors were awarded for their outstanding performance in research and the effective protection of their IP assets in multiple regions of the world. The awards celebrate the efforts of all innovating SMEs around the globe and aim to increase their recognition and visibility.

During the ceremony, Director General Mr. Daren Tang said: “I am proud that the newly launched WIPO Global Awards program is supporting exceptional individuals and enterprises using IP for positive change, while building a community of role models in keeping with our vision to ensure that IP use can benefit everyone, everywhere,”
