Standards are at the core of the EU single market and the European standards deliver great benefits for companies and consumers, creating a level-playing field in the single market for businesses and increasing consumer confidence. They also have become a matter of global importance.
European Standardisation Booster is a 24-month European Commission (EC) initiative that supports European Research and Innovation projects to valorise results through standardisation and address urgencies identified in the EU Strategy on Standardisation.
Over the 24 months period, there will be five Open Calls launched and through these calls, the booster will provide services to ongoing and complete H2020 and Horizon Europe projects to support them to contribute to the creation of new standards or the revision of existing standards. It will also provide guidance to use of existing standards. The first HSbooster.eu Open Call has been launched on 21st June and the applications will be open until 30th September. The priority topics of the first call include Pandemics, Robust supply chains, Data quality and Artificial Intelligence, Clean energy and Circular economy in the construction sector.
