The European IP Helpdesk participated in the 1st ERA SHUTTLE Summer School on Advancing Careers in Research and Innovation, held in Split from the 9th to the 13th of September. This program is designed for researchers, research managers, and technology transfer officers, offering opportunities to advance their careers in research and innovation. Participants gained insights into soft skills, Artificial Intelligence (AI) productivity tools, research funding, technology transfer, and innovation and entrepreneurship.
On the second day, our Senior IP and Innovation Advisor, Ivana Vuka, joined Daniel Mertens from Schiller & Mertens to deliver a lecture on the use of AI tools and intellectual property rights. While Daniel focused on how AI tools can enhance productivity and streamline everyday tasks, Ivana introduced the fundamentals of intellectual property (IP), highlighting key IP considerations when working with AI-generated outputs and discussing how AI tools are changing the IP landscape.
ERA SHUTTLE is part of the ERA Talents initiative and brought together more then 50 participants form Malta, Poland and Croatia together with experts from CERIC-ERIC, Steinbeis, ASTP and Across Limits.
