A healthier, greener and more digital Europe – this is what the European Commission envisions for the Europe of the near future.
On 16 June, following a challenging and long-winded negotiation process, the Commission has adopted the main work programme of Horizon Europe, the EU's key funding programme for research and innovation until 2027. The newly adopted work programme outlines the specific objectives and topic areas for the initial programme period between 2021 and 2022. The EU will invest a total of €14.7 billion from Horizon Europe into the work programme.
