EUIPO and EISMEA Sign Agreement to Support Horizon Europe Beneficiaries

Horizon Europe is the EU’s key funding programme for strengthening the impact of research and innovation, tackling key topics as climate change, UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and overall, supporting EU’s competitiveness and growth.

On 28 October, the executive directors of the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) signed a service level agreement to assist Horizon Europe beneficiaries. The pilot project will aim to improve awareness and management of intellectual property among European innovative companies.

Within this framework the service will support Horizon Europe beneficiaries to identify which intellectual property rights interact with their core business and indicate best management practices to maximise their value. Companies benefiting from the service will also have access to a set of experts across Europe that will support them with any doubt they may have along the way.
