EPO and INDECOPI Peru to extend their PPH programme and enhance cooperation between offices

The heads of office from the European Patent Office (EPO) and INDECOPI Peru met on 14 June and agreed on an extension of the Patent Prosecution Highway Programme (PPH) from January 2023 onwards.

This news comes after last April 2022 both EPO and INDECOPI signed 2 Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) on:

- Reinforced Partnership (RP), and

- Cooperative Patent Classification,

Both offices, signed in April to a cooperation work plan (2022-2023) covering the re-use of EPO work products, several activities related to the implementation of the CPC, and improved data exchange.
