The European Patent Office (EPO) and the European Innovation Council (EIC) have taken a significant step forward in strengthening their cooperation. Both organizations have joined forces to provide joint support for the advancement of breakthrough technologies and the overall innovation ecosystem in Europe.

The letter of intent demonstrates the commitment of the parties to provide assistance and support to innovators and entrepreneurs in Europe, facilitating the transformation of their ideas into tangible products and services. Leveraging the expertise of the EPO, the parties aim to empower innovators by providing them with the necessary tools and guidance throughout the innovation process.

The collaboration between the EPO and the EIC aims to enhance patent valorisation and commercialization, particularly for innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), disruptive start-ups, spin-off companies, as well as research organizations and universities.
