Enterprise Europe Network Annual Conference 2023

The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) Annual Conference is the Enterprise Europe Network’s flagship event. This year’s edition took place on from 15 to 17 November 2023 in a hybrid format, at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre in Spain.

The event brought together Network partners, EU officials, and representatives from the private sector under the theme 'The EEN at 15: showing the way forward for small and medium enterprises.' Key subjects like internationalisation, innovation, start-up support, access to finance, the European industrial transition and many more were the topics of the Conference.

On 16 November 2023, the second day of the conference, Pedro Pablo Uceda Carrillo, European IP Helpdesk Ambassador from Spain, introduced a new publication “Intellectual Property Handbook” in a dedicated session “The use of Intellectual Property in the EEN Client Journey” moderated by Martina Orsulova, Policy Officer in the European Commission (EC).  Following Pedro’s presentation, Christian Hackl, Senior Expert of European IP Helpdesk, shared insights into intellectual property (IP) infringement and emphasized the significance of Freedom to Operate (FTO).
