The EC IP Helpdesks Are Now Easily Accessible Through the Your Europe Portal

European citizens and businesses, particularly those operating in other EU countries or beyond, frequently face challenges in understanding applicable rules and navigating administrative procedures. The search for information can be tedious and confusing, with results spread across various websites that often lack quality assurance or reliability. This fragmented information landscape leaves many important questions unanswered and creates significant information gaps.

To address these challenges, the Single Digital Gateway has been established to provide online access to essential information, administrative procedures, and assistance services that EU citizens and businesses might need in another EU country and beyond. Accessing the gateway is straightforward, utilizing the search function on the Your Europe portal. This portal is the European Commission's most visited website, designed to facilitate cross-border activities and help avoid unnecessary bureaucracy.

As of March 2024, the European IP Helpdesk and International IP SME Helpdesks have been fully integrated into the Single Digital Gateway and is accessible through the Assistance Service Finder. This integration means that any business with questions about intellectual assets can receive direct assistance from the IP Helpdesk via the Your Europe portal. This allows EU companies to enhance their competitiveness by protecting their business ideas and branding more effectively.
