Department of Intellectual Property launches Urgent Patent Service D-Day 1 June

Starting in June 2022, Thailand's Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) will be launching a Fast-Track System for patent registration.

The Patent Fast-Track System will initially cover pharmaceutical-related sectors (e.g., medicines, healthcare, etc.). The system is expected to cut the patent registration time to 24-36 months (from 55 months), a good initiative from DIP to reduce patent pendency.
