In May 2021, Costa Rica joined the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Costa Rica becomes the 38th country of the OECD, the fourth Latin American country to join the OECD, after Mexico, Chile, and Colombia.
The ratification of Costa Rica in the OECD has great implications for the country, including an impact in the field of intellectual property.
