Our team conducted interviews with the European IP Helpdesk Ambassadors, inviting them to share their expertise and perspectives on knowledge valorisation and intellectual asset management. These discussions provide valuable insights into fostering industry-academia collaboration and highlight best practices in managing intellectual property (IP).
Pedro Uceda, an Ambassador and representative of Andalusia Trade since 2014, shares his efforts to promote collaboration between small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and universities. He underscores the significance of these partnerships, highlighting initiatives that incentivize SMEs to engage with researchers by awarding additional points in funding projects. Pedro also discusses how these collaborations drive long-term innovation and emphasizes the benefits of organising university visits for companies. His core message is clear: fostering stronger connections between SMEs and academic researchers paves the way for improved outcomes in the future.
