Chile adopts 12th edition of the Nice Classification for trade marks

The Chilean National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI) has recently announced that a new edition of the Classification concerning the International Classification of Goods and Services for the registration of trade marks is now available.

The update corresponds to the annual work of the Nice expert committee, which aims to renew the catalogue of products and services available in the electronic search platform, in order to keep up with the constant development of the international market. The objective of the new edition is also to modernize technical criteria for the classification of products and services as well as the correct registration of trademarks.

The dates and registration forms for this activity will soon be made available to the public.
