Changes in Mexico for filing voluntary divisional applications

Since last November 2020, the Federal Law for the Protection of Industrial Property in Mexico came into force changing the rules for filing voluntary divisional applications.

Under the new rules, voluntary divisional applications are not accepted unless the first Mexican patent application is still pending.
