Call for Applications: Ideas Powered for Business SME Fund 2023

European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) has recently announced that the call for applications to the SME Fund 2023 will be open from 23 January to 8 December 2023. The SME Fund is a European Commission initiative implemented by the EUIPO in collaboration with European National Intellectual Property Offices. A total of EUR 27.1 million will be allocated in grants throughout the year on a first come, first served basis.

SMEs will have opportunity to benefit from two options of vouchers:
Voucher 1: for 90 % reimbursement of the IP pre-diagnostic services (IP Scan)
Voucher 2: 75 % off the basic application fees for trade mark and design at EU level,
50 % off the basic application fees for trade mark and design outside the EU.

EUIPO has recorded that a total of 33 385 applications submitted by SMEs have been awarded since the launch of the initiative in January 2021.
