Brazilian Priority Patent Applications grow in 2020 thanks to the PPH

INPI Brazil has already received 983 priority patent applications, already more than the 955 received during the entire 2019 year. 

This growth comes mainly from the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) applications. The increase from 268 PPH applications in 2019 to 340 by October 2020 can be explained because the PPH started to accept patent processes in any technological field.

The PPH allow users to take advantage of an effective reduction in patent pendency, by shortening the examination process.
