On 9 April, Brazil's National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) and Grupo FarmaBrasil introduced the Pharmaceutical Patent Data Platform, which covers patent data from 2000 to 2021 and it will be updated by the INPI's technical services. The platform not only gathers information from various public databases, such as the National Register of Legal Entities (CNPJ) of the Federal Revenue, but also includes patent data from national and international institutions.
The platform allows users to identify trends, technological advances and R&D investment decisions, providing a clearer picture of the dynamics of the pharmaceutical market in Brazil.
