The first administrative decision by INPI has been issued last December, in which the Office declared the invalidity of the trade mark "Kimchi". The reason for the cancellation of the trade mark was for it to be interpreted as indicative, restrictive or generic.
As of 2018, the trade mark procedure in Argentina was changed so that the Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial (INPI) can decide on the cancellation of trade mark registrations.
