On 14-18 February, the AERAP Africa-Europe Science Collaboration Platform will organise a series of meetings as a side event at the European Union - African Union Summit 2022. Their purpose is to promote awareness of the contribution of collaborative research and development as a critical aspect of EU-Africa relations.
Africa IP SME helpdesk will join the conversation with a presentation on 16 February, 17:00 CET. Beata Suwala, project coordinator at the helpdesk, will share insights on how cooperation between the EU and African countries within the project provides a unique opportunity for European SMEs to invest in Africa, and enables African countries to access global business value chains.
The organiser of the event – the Africa-Europe Science Collaboration and Innovation Platform (AERAP) – is a stakeholder forum convened to define priorities for science and innovation cooperation between Africa and Europe. It provides a framework for stakeholders from industry and academia to define research action plans across a wide range of technological areas that will be essential for addressing common challenges in the future.
