IP in EU-funded Projects

Intellectual property management is key to the successful implementation of collaborative projects and to maximising the impact of their results.

IP in Horizon Europe

Horizon Europe is the next ambitious EU research & innovation framework programme, which will run from 2021 to 2027 and will have a budget of € 100 billion. As was the case in projects funded under previous framework programmes, intellectual property management will be key at all stages of Horizon Europe, from the proposal stage to the exploitation of final results.

The publication of the first Horizon Europe work programmes providing information on the first round of calls is expected for April 2021. Further details and guiding doduments on IP in Horizon Europe will be released on this page in due course.

IP in Horizon 2020

Horizon 2020 is the eighth framework programme, funding research and innovation in Europe. It runs from 2014 to 2020, and many projects funded under this scheme will still be running or enter their exploitation phase in the years to come. Learn more about IP in Horizon 2020 below.
