Lan focuses on copyright, trademarks, industrial design, and patent protection, as well as transactional IP matters. With that spirit, and full of enthusiasm, she joined the South-East Asia IPR SME Helpdesk to help SMEs protect their IP rights.
Lan works for PLF, a law firm in Vietnam that has been practicing IP and corporate law for more than ten years, and is authorized by the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam to act on behalf of individuals and enterprises to establish and enforce intellectual property rights in Vietnam. This gives her the advantage of getting opinions directly from the government. Therefore, she is able to give reliable advice and process applications quickly without error and saving cost.
More than 90% of clients of the firm are foreign investors; she has successfully helped many MNCs from Europe, USA, and Asia on registration, IP rights enforcement strategies, prevention of infringement, as well as transactional IP matters.
Lan Nguyen is a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association and the Vietnam Bar Association.
