Albert Tsui is an IP Partner in the Beijing office of Anjie Law Firm, a Chinese law firm with strong IP law presence and full right of audience in all levels of courts in China.   

Albert was graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor degree in Economics in 1999. After a brief venture into IT sector in Silicon Valley and Hong Kong, he went to law schools in the UK and Hong Kong. He was admitted as a Hong Kong solicitor and a Mainland China lawyer in 2006 and 2013 respectively. He has been appointed as arbitrator of Beijing Arbitration Commission. 

Between 2010 and 2017, Albert was the Chief Asia Brand Protection Director and China Lead Counsel of Motorola, Google and Lenovo. Albert’s solid in-house experience allows him to put into clients’ shoes, and take business reality and profitability into full consideration in delivering every piece of legal advice. 

Albert is passionate with technology, a lifelong pursuit developed during his pre-legal tech experience and 8 years of in-house with tech companies. He has particular interest in blockchain, AI, robotics, autonomous vehicles, IOT and drones. During his in-house tenure, Albert frequently gave lectures and hands-on legal advice on data protection, privacy, advertising law, social media and e-Commerce.

Albert was accredited by Beijing Lawyers Association as a Talented Lawyer in Foreign-related Matters in 2020. He is also a Co-chair (2022-2024) of China Subcommittee under the Bulletin Committee of International Trademark Association (INTA).  His work languages are English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
