Webinar | Key Tips on Trademark and Patent Protection in China

Protecting trademarks, patents and technical innovations is a central issue for Austrian SMEs doing business with China and is often associated with many open questions. In this webinar, China IP SME Helpdesk external expert Mr Elliot Papageorgiou from the law firm Gowling WLG, will provide a practical overview of the most important aspects of trademark and patent protection in China and highlight what companies should pay particular attention to in practice.

The presentation will be held in German and is deliberately aimed at companies without legal background knowledge. Mr Papageorgiou will guide participants through typical scenarios in a clear and accessible manner and provide concrete, practical tips that can be implemented regardless of whether a company is planning to enter the Chinese market, is in the preparation phase, or is already active in China.

After the presentation, there will be a short Q&A session for general questions. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to discuss individual issues in more depth after the event. A limited number of consultation slots will be available, allowing company‑specific questions to be addressed in 15‑minute sessions.
