Industry 4.0 is revolutionising the way companies manufacture, improve, and distribute their products. Manufacturers are integrating new technologies, including Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, smart automation solutions and analytics as well as AI and machine learning into their production facilities and throughout their operations. Innovation brings new risks, particularly with regards to intellectual property (IP). For European SMEs and Clusters exploring research, development and innovation (RDI) collaborations in Taiwan, it is crucial to understand IP risks involved and to be able to devise strategies to overcome these risks.
In this seminar, the China IP SME Helpdesk external expert John Eastwood will provide an overview of IP protection in Taiwan’s Industry 4.0 landscape explaining how European SMEs and Clusters can protect their technology and innovative ideas when collaborating with Taiwanese counterparts. Attendees will also learn from several real case studies involving European SMEs and research institutions.
The seminar will conclude with a Q&A session allowing attendees to discuss IP matters with the speaker
